Centellax Announces Addition of Parallel Jitter Tolerance Measurement Capability in Multi-Instrument Control Software
SANTA ROSA, CALIF.----June 24, 2011—
Centellax announced today that they have added Parallel Jitter Tolerance (JTOL) measurement capability to their Centellax Signal Integrity Studio (SIS) software application, Version 2.0.
The SIS application provides Centellax customers the ability to control multiple Centellax instruments through a Windows-based Graphical User Interface (GUI), and enables complex measurements and tests such as Jitter Tolerance. SIS’s easy-to-understand interface allows for a more integrated and effective use of Centellax products. “It was important for us to include JTOL measurement capability in our SIS application. It allows our customers to use our multi-lane test solutions to effectively perform characterization and compliance testing on multiple device channels simultaneously”, states Steve Sekel, VP of Product management at Centellax, Inc.
The JTOL measurement capability of the SIS application allows the user to perform jitter tolerance characterization and compliance tests on any number of device channels at the same time. Measurement functionality includes:
- Multi-channel configuration supports any number of parallel tested channels
- Characterization and compliance mode with margin adjustment
- Linear and logarithmic up/down, binary, binary + linear up/down algorithms
- Adjustable algorithm step sizes and search termination criteria
- Configurable measurement duration, BER threshold, and confidence interval
- Jitter frequency and jitter amplitude relax times
- Graphical template editor for easy editing of test points
- Results export to standard file format for offline processing
The Centellax Signal Integrity Studio base application is free of charge and can be downloaded off the Centellax website via a simple user registration page. The JTOL measurement extension is an option that requires a license. The license can be easily purchased through our sales office.
